Seattle is a major backdrop of the story where a lot of lore lines up. Pro: Speaking of environments, there is an incredible amount of world expansion.

Part II is very expansive not only in its environments but in the sheer number of people it brings in and makes players care for. Each person you cross paths with eases the load of this heavy story. There’s a real joy that comes from the discovery of each. Pro: Mentioning the voice talent to start goes hand and hand with all the new characters in Joel and Ellies’ world. The cast is riddled with industry vets like Laura Bailey, TV favorites like Billy Riggins (Derek Phillips), and movie stars like Jeffrey Wright. Everyone makes the most of their screen time and no one is out of place. I could go on and on about how everyone shines in small and large roles. Seriously this game has the best ensemble of actors in any game full stop. How did they achieve what they did in the story and in the structure? It’s much more than a game, but no more waiting let’s go deep on this transcendent title. It was complete in my eyes and I’m very happy to be wrong. How did they exceed the first, how did they capture that magic again? When I think of perfect games the first Last of Us never needed a sequel. How will be the number one question that comes to mind when I look back on this game.
